CLUBMARK

Junior cricket is a growth area for the club in recent years and in February 2004 Ombersley was the first cricket club in Worcestershire to be awarded the prestigious Sport England Clubmark.  This award assures parents, coaches, teachers and all interest parties that we have a safe, secure, child friendly place for boys and girls to play cricket.. There are 16 differing sections to this award and they include child welfare, first aid, risk assessment, codes of conduct for coaches helpers and parents, equity and ethnic policies. CRB checks will be carried out on all coaches in 2004 by our dedicated Child Welfare officer.

We will be running teams in Worcestershire age group leagues in the following age groups: u9, u10 u11 u13 and u16 as well as regular Sunday morning coaching; please just turn up at the ground in the first instance. We have links with six local schools at this time but this number is growing as is the interest in girls cricket.
