Ian Foster

We are very pleased to announce that Ian Foster, [Foz, Fozzie, or as he has been dubbed during the current season in New South Wales, "the freak in the yellow helmet,"] will shortly be arriving in Ombersley as our overseas player for 2006.

Ian, from Lindfield CC in Sydney, is a young man who scores heavily as an opening batsman for his club and also plays representative cricket; he will be with us for the pre-season friendlies and is keen to do well. We are advised that his club - http://www.ldcc.com.au/ - play at a standard comparable to Birmingham League Division One.  Ian is a keen, sociable bloke who wants to do well for us and is looking forward to coming to the UK for the first time.

If anyone can accommodate Ian during the summer please let either the chairman or secretary know.
